Things you will probably need to get into Canada:

*A valid state drivers license or ID

*Birth certificate for adults and children

*Proof of insurance for your vehicle

*If you are transporting minors other than your own, you will need their birth certificate and a hand written letter from their legal guardians. On that letter there must be a contact phone number that can reach them at any time and it must be signed and dated by their legal guardians.
